Renewal of an Amusement Park

Awaji World Park ONOKORO, located on Awaji Island, is a unique amusement park displaying miniatures of famous buildings and remains of the world. To renew the 12-hectare decrepit amusement park, we aimed at [1] creating fine gardens with its locational characteristics as an island and [2] forming enjoyable spaces to encounter varieties of attractions. We designed landscapes integrating with the miniatures and rides with the theme of a town, sea, hill, and forest and created spaces with sociality as a park and enjoyment as an amusement park.
