Outdoor Spaces Retaining the Residents' Memory

This project is the landscape design for the rebuilding of the Hasune Housing Complex that was built in 1957. We made the effort to preserve the row of cherry blossom trees that used to be the symbol of the neighborhood and transplant the other existing trees as much as possible. We also proposed a new shape of green environments for this housing complex and the surrounding area. Then we designed a symbolic outdoor space that is new and fresh but nostalgic and familiar for the residents.
