Creating a Green Open Space That Utilizes the Landform

This project is to design an open space stretching out in front of the newly constructed Koka Town's library and spa facility. To create a new attractive place for the town that harmonizes with the surrounding environment, we designed with consideration of the following points: [1] form a space that utilizes the existing hilly landform, [2] make a connection between the architecture and the outdoor space, [3] set the efficacious landscape for ​accessing roads, and [4] plan the plantings with easy maintenance. The bowl-shaped open space and the architecture became a new landscape that represents the town.
