Aiming at an Eternal Space That Highlights the Surrounding Nature and the Historical Landscape
The Kasugano Garden and the Ukigumo Garden are located in the center of Nara Park, and the Sagiike Pond is located in the precious waterside zone of the park. For the design of these gardens, we tried to create spaces suitable for an ancient capital Nara intended for more visitors, by considering the surrounding historical and cultural assets that represent Japan and the blessed natural sceneries and maximizing those characteristics. Such a calm Zen space would let people appreciate the surrounding nature and historical and cultural assets, spend moments in meditation, and feel the relaxing lapse of the time, especially in such a busy present age.
