Rooftop Garden of a Commercial Building
Namba Parks is the name of the commercial building constructed due to the Namba District Redevelopment Plan that includes the former site of the Osaka Stadium, and Parks Garden is a public large-scale rooftop garden of this commercial building. The plan of the Parks Garden had started since the early phase of this project. We designed a rooftop garden integrated with the commercial facilities, where people can enjoy both the urban environment and the natural environment at the same time. This project is known as a pioneering case of an urban rooftop garden where nature and people can be harmonized together and would be a model of urban regeneration for the future.
