Kawazu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture is famous for its early blooming Kawazu cherry blossoms, and many people visit there in February to seek the sense of early spring.

The prefecture of Shizuoka had conducted committee meetings for the landscape with the Kawazu cherry blossoms along the Kawazu River four times since February 2017.

Osamu Kato, the chief director of HEADS Tokyo head office had participated as a committee member.

The committee had discussed the basic policy for the cherry trees under the leadership of the Shimoda Civil Engineering Office of the Shizuoka Prefectural Government.

After this, the Town of Kawazu will be in charge of the subject and make a master plan for the cherry trees of the entire town based on the basic policy the committee discussed.
