Creating a Park Integrated with Water Play Facilities
Yamazaki Park is located in Kohoku Newtown, Yokohama. Since this park is at the water source of the green corridors running through Newtown, we aimed to make a park that is integrated with water play facilities. We designed a pond, open spaces, streams, a gazebo, an observatory, etc by utilizing the existing landform, vegetation, and water resources. Today even twenty years after its completion, it is widely loved by the citizens as the place to provide recreation and interaction with nature.
