This design competition was for the port area next to the Minato Mirai 21 district in Yokohama. The subject was to propose a waterside park suitable for a city of art and design. First, we interpreted that wetland would be a foundation of all the living things and the environment and proposed to preserve it. On the upper layer of the wetland, we arranged a bow-shaped wooden deck that goes through the oblong site stretching east and west and temporary facilities such as floating food stands that create a lively atmosphere. With these layers together, we designed a waterside space where human beings and other living things can coexist.
